Hi, my name is Ms. Heather! I teach the PEP Classic classes. I have worked in autism, SCB, general education, private preschool, and pediatric rehabilitation. I live in Brookeville with my husband and dog, and I have two sons. I am looking forward to another great year in PEP!
Hi! My name is Ms. Sydni and this is my first year at Sherwood ES. I taught PEP 5 Hour for three years at Washington Grove ES, and am excited to be teaching PEP 5 Hour at Sherwood this year. I live in Gaithersburg with my fiancee and dog, Joie! I went to school in MCPS and went to the University of Maryland for my BS/MEd in Special Education. I look forward to an awesome first year at Sherwood.
My name is Ms. Ashley and this is my 8th year teaching in PEP. I earned my Bachelor's degree in elementary and special education at York College of PA where I also swam for the school's swim team. After I started teaching, I continued my education, earning my Masters in Autism and Severe Disabilities from Johns Hopkins University. I live in Olney with my husband (who is also an MCPS teacher), our toddler son, and baby girl. I love to spend time with my family, read, and go for long walks with our dog. I also really enjoy teaching at Sherwood and look forward to a great year.

Hi all! My name is Kerrie, and I am a para educator in Ms. Sydni's PEP 5 Hour class. This is my first year at Sherwood Elementary. I grew up in Olney/Rockville, where I attended Sherwood HS. I am a graduate from the University of Maryland, and am now attending Towson Shady Grove pursuing my MEd. in Special Education. I am excited for this school year, and to work with students as they grow and learn!
Hi my name is Kristine DeCastro and this is my first year as a Paraeducator in PEP at Sherwood ES. I am married with four kids and two dogs. Two of my children currently attend Sherwood ES and my eldest son graduated last year. I have volunteered every year for the past five years in kindergarten, first and second grade. I look forward to watching the children academically thrive and transform this year!
Hi, my name is Ms Marilyn. I have been working in pep inc at Sherwood for the past 6 years. Prior to that I worked at Rosemont Elementary in pre-K Autism. I taught at Village Montessori for many year before coming to MCPS. I have a wonderful husband, a daughter who teaches in the infant and toddler program and an adult son with Autism. Best of all I have two of the best grandaughters ever. Caroline 5 and Caitlyn 2.
Hi! My name is Hwieun Weiss, and this is my second year at Sherwood ES. I moved to the United States from South Korea three and half years ago. I went to a conservatory of music in Seoul, South Korea for my B.A.M., and I majored in Piano. I used to be a freelance pianist and a piano teacher for little children when I was in Korea. I am now working as a paraeducator for Ms. Heather Bergman's class, and I am in the accelerated certification in teaching program at Notre Dame of Maryland University in order to be a certified music teacher in MD. I am excited to have another wonderful year!

Hello, my name is Angela Nance, known in school as Ms. Angela. This is my 15th year in MCPS, 10 as a special educators in the LFI program and then teaching PEP-5 hr. for 5 years. This is my 5th year as the PEP parent educator here at Sherwood and love being able to work with our amazing staff, wonderful parents and getting to know our Wonderful students. I am a University of Maryland Grad and still love my Terps!! I also recently received a certificate in Educational Administration from Hood College. In my spare time I try to spend as much time with my family, especially my 10 and 3 year old sons! I also love re-arranging & organizing my home, DIY projects, yoga and biking with the family! My favorite part of teaching was getting to know the little ones and watching how much they learn and grow throughout the year! I hope to continue to work closely with the students and families in the PEP program at Sherwood Elementary as the Parent Educator!
Hi, my name is Jody Polon, known at school as Ms. Jody. I received my BS in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University and my MS in education from Johns Hopkins University. I've been the Occupational Therapist at Sherwood Elementary School since 2003. I love the Sherwood community and all the wonderful students I get the opportunity to work with! When I am not at Sherwood, I am a proud soccer mom who also loves to go for walks and out to eat at a variety of ethnic restaurants.
Hi, my name is Emily Mccullough. I am the speech pathologist at Sherwood Elementary School! I worked for several years as a paraeducator in several special education programs, including Autism, SCB, and PEP-Cap. I earned my degree from the University of Maryland in May 2017. I grew up in Olney and graduated from Sherwood High School! I'm excited for a great year!

Hello my name is Audry Singh. I'm one I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist in MCPS for the last 10 years. During this time, I have had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of students from Pre-K to 5th grade in the general education, autism, SCB, and PEP programs. I graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park. I enjoy listening to music, taking walks outside, reading, and playing with dogs.
