We had a blast on Halloween this year!! Both classes got together for a parade and party! The party included making monster pizzas, boo bowling and a dress-up photo booth! In The first few pictures, Ms. Angela's class is practices for the parade earlier in the week.

For our first day of inclusion today we welcomed our new friends by exploring the pumpkins we got on our field trip! First we looked at the pumpkins with our magnifying glasses, we talked about the color and how it felt. Next we cut the top off and dug in! We all took turns scooping out some seeds and pulp. It was lots of messy fun!
Ms. Angelas' class also read Mrs. Wishy Washy for story time this week! As we read, we took turns being the animals from the story and acting out parts of the story. We jumped in the mud and got all dirty, then we had Ms. Angela use the tub to wash us off, as we sang "Wishy, Washy, Wishy , Washy". This is one of our favorite books. See how much fun we had jumping in the mud all together at the end.
Last week we had so much fun getting muddy and learning about farm animals! One of our favorite activities was acting out "Mrs. Wishy Washy" while we read the book. We practiced finding pigs, cows and ducks in our mud puddle. When we found the animals it was bath time! We made sure the animals were clean, just like Mrs. Wishy Washy!
We had so much fun making chocolate pudding today! It was fun following each direction, especially squeezing the milk into the bowl. It was just like milking a cow! Each friend got a turn to help with a different ingredient and we all got turns using the mixer. When the pudding was ready we all had a little taste! Some friends really enjoyed their pudding while others preferred their chips and crackers :)
Throughout the rest of the week we will use our left over pudding as mud for various different sensory farm activities. Cooking is always so much fun! On Friday we made yummy pumpkin milkshakes using vanilla ice cream, milk and pumpkin puree! We all had a blast scooping and dumping the different ingredients into the blender. Not everyone liked the pumpkin milkshakes but we all tasted them!
Both Ms. Catherine & Ms. Angela's Class' took our fall trip to Green Meadows Farm in Frederick MD. We were very excited to have the opportunity to feed and pet the animals, and pet we did!!! The Kiddos loved the up close and personal interaction we got with the animals, as well as climbing into a huge tractor, running through a maze and picking our own pumpkins. Check out the photos of us around the farm. We had a super fun time!!!
We mixed fall scents like cinnamon, chocolate, pumpkin and vanilla with our finger paints and explored with our fingers and different toys each day. We could have spent hours with this yummy smelling sensory activity!
